MURRAY, KY (7/15/12) – On July 15, 2012, at approximately 6:00 AM, Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to the scene of a reported accident in Calloway County.
Once on the scene, KSP Troopers found that a 2012 Chevrolet passenger car driven by 33-year-old Robert D. Bramley of Murray, was northbound in the 100 block of Bethel Road in the Van Cleave community of Calloway County. The driver failed to negotiate a curve and the vehicle exited the roadway before colliding with a utility pole.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 23-year-old Khiry T. Williams, of Chicago, Illinois, was unrestrained, and as a result, was partially ejected from the vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by the Calloway County Coroner’s Office.
Bramley was transported to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital and then airlifted to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee for treatment of injuries resulting from the collision.
KSP was assisted in this investigation by the Calloway County Sheriff’s Department, Calloway County Fire/Rescue, Murray Police Department and the Calloway County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Collision Reconstructionist Trooper Thomas Clifton and Sergeant Sam Steger.
