CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (8/5/12) – Joseph Crawford, an employee at Murray-Calloway County Hospital for ten years, has been named the Director of Endoscopy as well as Director of the upcoming Wound Care Unit.
Crawford began his career at MCCH as a nursing assistant in 2002 while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Murray State University. Upon obtaining his degree in 2004, he then began working in the Emergency Room as a Registered Nurse. In 2007 he moved to the Radiology/Cath lab before becoming the Endoscopy Unit Coordinator in 2011.
In addition to his medical experience and education, Crawford holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science/Agribusiness and a Master’s Degree in Agriculture/Agribusiness from Murray State University.
MCCH will be opening a Wound Care Unit on the second floor of the North Tower in the future, which is equipped with specialized rooms and equipment to deal with wounds that require inpatient treatment.
