MURRAY, KY (9/14/12) - The Murray State University Hutson School of Agriculture and the Ag Leadership Council are hosting the 2012 Fall on the Farm on Saturday, Sept. 22. It is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is $5 per person. The event is held at Murray State’s Pullen Farm, located on the corner of 94W and Doran Road. Parking is available at Murray Elementary School — a shuttle to the farm will be provided.
Activities for the children will plentiful, and concessions, t-shirts and pumpkins will be available for purchase.
Fall on the Farm is designed to provide an educational and entertaining approach to agriculture education for the community and surrounding areas. A primary goal of the event is to help children who have not grown up in the agriculture community learn where their food actually comes from and gain a better understanding of the impact that agriculture has on their daily lives.
