CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (1/1/13) – The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for minor flooding of poor drainage areas in Calloway County, effective until 10:15 AM.
According to Weather Service officials, at around 4:00 AM this morning, widespread moderate to heavy rainfall hit the Calloway County area. The ground was already saturated by heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours. Though rainfall rates are not expected to be especially heavy, runoff problems will occur due to saturated grounds.
Low lying areas, creeks and flood prone roads will be susceptible to minor flooding throughout the morning.
