MURRAY, Ky. (4/15/13) – On Sunday, April 14, at approximately 10:57 AM, Kentucky State Police (KSP) officials responded to a reported accident at the intersection of US Highway 641 North and Wind Drive.
Once on the scene, Troopers found that Robert Andrus was operating a 2006 Yamaha traveling north on the emergency strip of US 641 North, and was approaching the intersection of Wind Drive. Susan Dillon was operating a 2007 Jeep Commander and crossed both northbound lanes of US 641 when she was struck by Mr. Andrus' Yamaha.
Mr. Andrus was transported by Murray-Calloway EMS to Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Mr. Andrus died as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision.
Ms. Dillon and her passengers were not injured. The investigation continues by Collision Reconstructionist Sergeant Joey Adams.
KSP was assisted at the scene by Murray- Calloway County Fire and Rescue, Calloway County Sheriff's Department, and Murray-Calloway County EMS.
