LEXINGTON, Ky. (9/9/13) – On Saturday, September 7, 2013, Kentucky State Police responded to Midway Road at the intersection of Herron Road for a single vehicle collision with injuries.
Upon arrival, it was determined that Ronald Baldwin had been driving east on Midway Road when he drove off the right side of the road into a ditch. Upon entering the ditch, the vehicle overturned once and came to rest upright.
Through investigation, it was determined that Baldwin had been using his cell phone for text messaging prior to the collision and was under the influence of alcohol. Baldwin had minor injuries and declined treatment or transport to the hospital by ambulance.
Baldwin was arrested for DUI 1st Offense, Communication Device Violation 1st Offense, and License to be in Possession.
Baldwin was lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Murray-Calloway County Ambulance, Murray Fire Department, and Calloway County Fire/Rescue.
