MURRAY, Ky. (10/21/13) – Dirk Morgan has been named the next chief financial officer at Murray-Calloway County Hospital and will join MCCH Thursday, Nov. 1.
Morgan comes to MCCH from Capella Healthcare in Franklin, Tenn., where he worked since 2009 as vice president – division chief financial officer and vice president – market CFO – Capella/St. Thomas Healthcare. Prior to Capella, Morgan was the CFO of Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield for 10 years. He has also served as CFO of Parwkay Regional Hospital in Fulton and Community Health Services in Cairo, Ill., and was a senior auditor for the Office of the Inspector General in Frankfort.
While his work experience makes him no stranger to western Kentucky, Morgan and his family are also very familiar with the Murray/Calloway County area. He is a 1980 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, his oldest son is an MSU graduate and his daughter is currently enrolled at MSU.
“Murray is a great community and my family and I are excited to be back in western Kentucky. We look forward to getting involved in local activities,” Morgan said.
