MADISONVILLE, Ky. (3/15/13) – The Lions Club in Madisonville will be hosting a Blood Drive sponsored by Baptist Hospital on Thursday March 28. The blood that is drawn will be for the hospitals blood bank and used locally.
This event will take place at the Lions Club located on 505 Hospital Drive, right behind Old National Bank from 10:00am – 5:00pm and will be open to Lions Club members as well as the public. The Lions club has invited other civic clubs to participate in this event.
Tom Morgan, a Lions Club member stated, “When we started this idea, we were just going to do the Lions Club, but we came up with another idea and decided to include other civic clubs and have some friendly competition and whatever club gets the most blood donations will win a trophy. If this event is a success, we are looking at making this a yearly event and the trophy will become a traveling trophy.”
Before you donate there will be a short screening and refreshments after your donation is made.
For more information you can call the Lions Club at (270)452-2264.
