MCGraw arrestHOPKINSVILLE, KY (2/27/12) – A Hopkinsville man has been arrested following an incident early Monday morning. According to the Hopkinsville Police report, 60-year-old Anthony Ray McCraw has been charged with one count of attempted burglary and one count of receiving stolen property.

Around 2 a.m. Monday, police were dispatched to 1519 West 7th Street in reference to someone trying to kick in the front door. The victim told police that he heard someone trying to break into his residence. The victim went outside and saw a white male wearing a blue sweat shirt and blue jeans on his porch. The suspect fled before the police arrived. The victim then realized that his grill had been stolen.

Around thirty minutes later, police made contact with McCraw who was wearing clothing that matched the description and was walking on West 7th. The victim was able to positively identify McCraw as the subject he had seen earlier.

Police went to McCraw’s residence where they found a grill in the living room which was identified as the one missing from the victim’s home. McCraw was then arrested and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
