Hopkinsville Police Department Promotions

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (2/28/12) – The Hopkinsville Police Department has announced the promotions of two of its own. Michael Seis has been promoted from Lieutenant of the Patrol Division to Captain of the Operations Bureau. Clayton Sumner has been promoted from Lieutenant of the Patrol Division to Captain of the Administration Bureau.

Captain Seis has been with the Hopkinsville Police Department since December of 2001. Seis commented on his recent promotion, “I am very excited to be a member of the Hopkinsville Police Department. I look forward to moving this agency towards a data driven approach to address crime and collisions. I want everyone to know that I will help the community in any way possible and I will listen to any comment or concern that you have.”

Captain Sumner has been with the Hopkinsville Police Department since November of 2002. Sumner says, “I look forward to the new challenges that come with this position. My hope is that I can help in doing my part in continuing to push our department in the right direction and help to improve the quality of life in our city.”
