Hooked on Science - Non-Stick Mower

hooked science 300KENTUCKY (4/16/13) - You may not think about doing science experiments with your mower, but Jason Lindsey aka "Mr. Science" with Hooked on Science says, there’s one experiment you need to do before you mow the yard.

INGREDIENTS
• Lawn Mower
• Non-Stick Cooking Spray

INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Using the non-stick cooking spray, spray the lawn mower blade and undercarriage.
STEP 2: Have an adult mow the lawn.
STEP 3: Once the lawn mower cools, observe the lawn mower blade and undercarriage.

EXPLANATION
As the water evaporates from the eggs, borax crystals deposit on the sides of the egg creating a geode egg. Go to www.hookedonscience.org  for more experiments that might get you and your family “Hooked on Science.”
