HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (3/5/13) – A Regional Entrepreneur Conference will be held at Hopkinsville Community College on Wednesday March 13, 2013 from 8:00a.m until 3:00p.m. There is no fee to participate. Refreshments and lunch will be provided along with conference materials. Individuals can register for the event by calling 270-707-3750 or by visiting http://goo.gl/Cst2k. Future and existing entrepreneurs and business owners of all stages are encouraged to attend.
Keynote speakers include Kim Hodous, a former high school history teacher who started a million dollar company from her kitchen table, and 20 year old serial entrepreneur Jeet Banerjee who specializes in technology and marketing consulting.
Conference participants will choose from nine breakout sessions relevant to all stages of business growth. Topics include business planning, franchising, innovation, exporting, funding sources, marketing, goal setting, and area resources for business growth. Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from successful area entrepreneurs who will share their personal experiences in starting and growing a business.
The first 100 individuals who register in advance and check in on the day of the event will receive a free copy of Kim Hodous’ book Show Up, Be Bold, Play Big: 33 Strategies for Outrageous Success and Lasting Happiness. Hodous also co-authored Nothing But Net with James Malinchak of ABC’s Hit TV show, Secret Millionaire.
Additional guest speakers will include Tom Crimmans of Frannet, Peggy Pauley of the Department of Commerce, Paul Tomaszewski of MB Roland Distillery, Russ Guffey of Little Caesars, Tommie Causey of the Small Business Association, David Hunter of the MSU Small Business Development Center, Loretta Daniel of the MSU Regional Business and Innovation Center, and Chris Sutton of the Pennyrile Area Development District.
