Local Police Investigate Storage Unit Break-ins

Burglary Blue 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (4/18/13) – The Hopkinsville Police Department has reported an investigation concerning local storage unit burglaries.

Hopkinsville Police have recently investigated storage unit break-ins where the thief will cut the lock to the storage unit then remove valuables from inside and then replace the cut lock with a new lock to make it look as if the storage unit was never broken in to.

Police are asking citizens, who use storage units, to please check their units as often as possible to make sure the lock is the same one they originally placed on their storage unit.

If you have any information regarding these break-ins, contact the Hopkinsville Police Department at 270-890-1522.
