HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (5/21/13) – Kentiana Greenwade, Hopkinsville, and William Sharp, Elkton, have each earned a $2,000 scholarship to help them pursue careers in medicine. They are recipients of the Henry R. Bell, MD Scholarships Funds as chosen by the Medical Staff and Board of Trustees of Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
The scholarships are awarded each year to two students planning a career in the healthcare field who demonstrate strong motivation and are in need of financial assistance.
Kentiana plans to pursue a career in nursing and William plans to pursue a career in pharmacy, both at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Bell was a family practice physician at JSMC for a number of years, and also founded Bell Clinic in Elkton.
JSMC is a private, not-for-profit health organization that includes an acute-care medical center; free-standing outpatient surgery, medical imaging, laboratory, rehabilitation, occupational health and home health services; and an integrated physician network.
