CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (5/22/13) – Cherise Brummer, of Collier County School District in Naples, FL, has been selected as the new principal of South Christian Elementary School.
Brummer is a graduate of Kennesaw State University (Marietta, GA) where she earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Gulf Coast University (Ft. Myers, FL). Brummer has 20 years of experience in education as a teacher and as a principal.
“Ms. Brummer is an enthusiastic professional who will bring a lot of dedication and spirit to any team. She is a great fit for the position and I know the level of success at South Christian will continue to soar under her leadership,” says Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill. The school’s site-based council received 15 applications for the principal position.
Ms. Brummer expresses her sincere thanks to South Christian’s Site-Based Council for their time and selection. “Just in my short visit to Hopkinsville, I am thankful for the friendly and helpful people I was able to meet. I am excited to get busy and meet the students, staff and families of Christian County.” Her first day as principal will be July 1, 2013.
