Bike Night is Back after Week Off

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (7/11/13) – The Greenville Fire Department's (GFD) "Friday Bike Night" is back in action after taking the 4th of July weekend off. If you love to ride, or own a foreign or American-made motorcycle, you're invited to join in the competition.

If you love great music, Southern rockers Mason Dixon are back on the courthouse stage.
 
GFD will also have the grill on hand too, so come hungry and enjoy home cooked burgers, ribeyes, pork sandwiches and a whole lot more.
 
Chris Humphreys, Captain of the Greenville Fire Department, told SurfKY News that despite getting off to a slow, "wet" start for bike night, with five rainout weeks in a row, they are really pleased with the turn out this event is having. According to Humphreys, response has been very good.
 
Three bands will battle it out next week. Then on August 23rd, along with the bike competition, bike night also features an ongoing "Battle of the Bands", with one more competition the last Saturday in July, and the Grand Finale Battle of the Bands on August 22nd.
 
"The winning band will score $1000." Humphreys said. "Any bands interested in competing next month can call us about possible openings."
 
GFD also plans a fund raising Car Show in September, a chili supper on October 25th and other activities to be announced.
