Hopkinsville Seal 01 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (7/22/13) – Mayor Dan Kemp has announced that City Budget Officer and Interim CAO Melissa Sellers Spurr has resigned her position with the City to take a position with Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority as Chief Financial Officer effective July 31, 2013.
 
Mayor Kemp stated, “Melissa is a very dedicated and hard working person and has been highly effective in her work for the City. I’m sure she will do a great job for HWEA in her new role. We wish her well. She did an excellent job both as Budget Officer and Interim CAO.”
 
The City will begin advertising immediately to fill the Budget Officer position with the City. Interviews for the CAO position have been underway and Mayor Kemp stated he hoped to have a new CAO on Board in August.
