golf Rachel2 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (7/23/13) – Even though Muhlenberg County car accident victim Rachel Pentecost is back home, her ongoing medical needs continue. And so do the many benefits to help the 19-year-old deal with her family's many medical bills, as rehabilitation continues.
 
Golfers will have a chance to help with those many costs on August 17 when the Sacramento Golf Course hosts a golf scramble for Rachel.
 
Christine Russo of Powderly told SurfKY News that, "The Pentecost family are close friends, and we just wanted to do what we could to help. The tournament will start at 8:00 a.m., August 17th, but pre-registration is required by August 10th. A two-person scramble is 25.00. Businesses may also sponsor holes, but they must supply their own business marker. All proceeds go to the Rachel Pentecost family's medical expenses."
 
Russo said she became involved in the event "because Rachel's family is very close to ours. She has been through so much, and God has brought her back to us. We just want to help her to get through this any way we can."
