bluecc300 BHOPKINS COUNTY, KY (8/2/13) – Recently, I addressed the City Council and the County, discussing the current and ongoing library situation.
 
We have three buildings that are worth what? That is the question. I have talked about the Tech Center, and now the Board of Education is walking away with 4.5 million to 5 million dollars down the drain.
 
On top of that, the Sports Complex is sitting in a swamp and wet lands. There are certain people on the Fiscal Court that want this sports complex, at the cost of 9 million dollars. This is a joke. You and I both know that there will be more money thrown into the “black hole.”
 
I want you, the citizens and voices of the city and county to call the members of the city and Fiscal Court and ask them when the wasting of our taxpayer money is going to stop?
 
On a final note, I approached the city and county, those that are elected by us, the citizens, and I asked them to contact me. Only one of them did. One person out of 13 that I approached actually contacted me, and the spending is still ongoing. We elected them, and they are doing nothing to stop this mess. They are walking away.
 
I rest my case.
