Parents Can Get Back to School Too with Community Classes

cooking class 300LEXINGTON, Ky. (8/6/13)—During summer break as a parent you can’t help but drop everything around you to spend time with your children. With the school year being so busy with extracurricular activities, homework and a social life they hardly have time to spend time with you. After planning family vacations, cookouts and different events for you and your children to attend all summer, as school begins to start back a mild version of the empty nest syndrome sets in. Instead of focusing on how empty your house is now that the school year has started, start putting more focus on yourself.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to sew, horseback ride, play the piano, or take self-defense classes? This is the time to finally mark something off your bucket list.

In Lexington there are many different classes and groups that you can join at a low price or for free. There is something for everyone so don’t be shy, when you’re having fun time does fly!

Interested in learning how to cook or add a little spice to your family dinners? Take a cooking class with Wild Thyme Cooking right here in Lexington!

Tired of playing the air guitar and actually want to learn how to strum a tune? There are many artists available to give you lessons, at your convenience and on your time!

Want to impress your children and learn some hip-hop dance moves? Right here in Lexington classes are available for you today! A list of available places can be found here.

The Living Arts and Science Center offers a variety of classes that will bring out your inner artist. For a complete list of classes visit their website.

These are just a few of the classes that are available for you on a daily basis. Get back on track and as your children are learning at school, go out and learn something new yourself!
