Lacy Elementary School Principal Selected

lacy elementary 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (8/14/13) – Marie Grubbs, currently the assistant principal at McNabb Elementary School, has been selected as the new principal of Lacy Elementary School.
 
Grubbs earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in elementary education, Master's degree and Rank I in Administration from Murray State University. Grubbs has over 20 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher and as an assistant principal.

Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill states, “I am pleased with council’s decision to hire Ms. Grubbs as the new Lacy Elementary School principal. Her success as an instructional leader makes her an ideal candidate for this position. She will be a great asset to this district.”
 
Grubbs says she is honored to be given the opportunity to serve as the new principal of Lacy Elementary. Grubbs began her teaching career at Lacy Elementary in 1993 and is glad to be back in Christian County. She will begin her duties on August 26.
