sportsman for christ1 300KENTUCKY (8/29/13) – Hello again folks. I hope you are having a blessed day. I apologize for not having an article for a few weeks. We had some technical problems with our email. We are back, Lord willing, and going strong!

This weekend is the dove season opening day. We will have a worship service at 10:00 AM Sunday morning at the dove field and shoot at 11:00 AM. The dove field is open to the public and is located on the Jeff Rodgers farm in White Plains, off highway 813. I hope to see you there on Sunday morning.

Also, next Saturday is the opening day of archery season. It is also our annual Sportsmen for Christ Outdoor Outreach Extravaganza. It will be held at Banker’s Lake in Empire, Ky. From 41A, turn onto HWY 1296 (Empire Road) and go 4.2 miles to the drive.

We have added two new events this year. We will have trap shooting. We will provide the firearms and everything. We will also have a 3D Archery course. You will need to bring your own archery equipment to shoot the course. We will have a few bows for the kids to shoot at a target in a different session.

The Lake had to be drained due to a leak so the fishing had to be cancelled. We will have a special prayer service over the lake.

This is an event you won’t want to miss. We have thousands of dollars of door prizes. This event is free to all. We provide food and drinks as well. The event is from 10 AM until 2 PM. Registration is onsite and begins at 9 AM.

Also, we will have applications for the 2013 Youth Deer Hunt for you to fill out. You will be blessed to come and join us.

God bless and be safe!
