muhl mustangs band 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (8/29/13) – The Muhlenberg Marching Mustangs are off to a busy start this season.

There will be a mini-camp for the band held on September 7th at West campus. The band’s first competitions are set for September 14th at Butler County in the morning and Ohio County that evening.

MCHS has four more competitions before Regional competition begins, including Barren County, two in Evansville and The Murray Festival of Champions.

MCHS will also host the 2013 Regionals at the West Campus again this year, both 2A and 5A on Oct 19th. There will be 16 bands in each class.

There were a total of 3300 spectators last year, not counting the band members. The band boosters received nothing but praise for the event last year and they expect to top that this year.

Troy Stovall, band director and Brent Burris, Associate Director, along with the almost 130 band members, are working hard to bring pride and trophies home to Mustang country.

MCHS Band Booster President Jimmy Brewer, along with the many other band boosters, are busy with upcoming fundraisers and contests.

They served food at Tuesday's Gospel Fest, and next month is the band's annual Mum Sale. These mums are the size of small shrubs and are only $10.

It averages $1000 per student to keep the MCHS band moving and, with 126 marching members, fundraising is very important, so please show your Mustang pride and help whenever you can.

Keep up with the MCHS band's many activities this season at http://muhlenbergband.org
