Henderson County School District Plans ‘High-Attendance’ Events

Henderson County Schools 300HENDERSON, Ky. (9/12/13) – Henderson County Schools are celebrating High Attendance Week from Sept. 16-20. The following schools will participate with themes and activities:

A.B. Chandler- Students will wear their favorite sports team apparel on September 18. The classes with perfect attendance for that day will receive an ice cream party. Also, students who are present for the entire day will receive a pencil.

Cairo- Students will wear pajamas on September 18. There will be Club Cairo and Step Up Club meetings. Intermediate classes will be doing Zumba.

East Heights- Students will wear the following attire on the days listed: September 16 – inside out day September 17– mis-matched day September 18– twin day September 19 – dress like your favorite book character day September 20– favorite color day. Students will also earn prizes each day if their class has 100% attendance.

Jefferson- On September 18 students and staff are encouraged to SYNERGIZE with another student/ adult or even a few students/adults to develop a plan to dress like twins.

Niagara- September 18 will be Electronic Day and students will be given time at the end of the day to use electronics in the class.

South Heights- On September 18 students will break the world’s record for the largest simultaneous K-5 Cupid Shuffle Dance completed on “High Attendance Day”! All students and staff will descend on the front parking lot at 1:30 p.m. that day and do the Cupid Shuffle Dance. This idea was created by a student at South Heights who is an innovator in whole-school motivation (Jordan Wright).

Spottsville- On September 18 students will wear their favorite “Superhero” costume.

North Middle- Students will wear the following attire on the days listed: September 16 – Mix Up Monday September 17 – Twin Tuesday September 18 – One Color Outfit Day September 19– Cadet PRIDE Day September 20 – Duck Dynasty Day.

South Middle- Students will wear the following attire on the following days next week: September 16 – Pajama Day September 17 – Twin Day September 18 – Nerd Day September 19– Maroon and White Day September 20 – Crazy Sock/Hat/Sunglass Day.
