HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (10/25/13) - The following is your weekly update on local restaurant inspections for the Hopkins County area, courtesy of the Hopkins County Health Department:

51 on Main Bar and Grill – 100
No violations

Captain D’s – 89
Minor violations:
•Floors in need of cleaning in walk-in unit
•Paper product stored on floor
•Ice maker lid in need of repair
•Hair restraints needed
•Garbage lid not closed
•Sink in need of cleaning in kitchen area
•Microwave in need of cleaning
•Spillage in cooling units
•Spillage under fountain drink area
•Ceiling vent missing
•Various ceiling tiles, vents, etc. in need of cleaning/repair

Christ the King – 100
No violations

Dinky Diner – 99
Minor violation:
•Hood needs cleaning

Godfather’s Pizza – 93
Minor violations:
•Soiled wiping cloth stored on counter top
•Debris build up on cooling unit in walk-in cooler
•Cup used as scoop in parmesan cheese
•Cooler door gasket in poor repair
•Pizza boxes stored on floor
•Dust and debris build up on oven and ice machine

Good Old Boy’s Pit BBQ – 98
Minor violations:
•Chest freezer lid in need of repair
•Floor covering in need of repair

Kentucky Fried Chicken – 98
Minor violations:
•Food spillage on floor in walk-in freezer
•Slaw spillage on lid of large slaw container

Prairie Rose Café – 98
Minor violation:
•Scoop handle touching food product

Pride Avenue School – 100
No violation

Ms. Robbie’s Day Care – 100
No violations

The next food training class will be on November 12, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  If you or your employees would like to enroll, please call April at (270) 821-5242 ext 263.

If for any reason you can’t make the scheduled food training class, we will be willing to schedule different times or days.
