MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (11/22/13) – The Pogue Autoplex welcomed members of the Greater Muhlenberg Chamber of Commerce Friday for the official ribbon cutting of the ribbon at its new Chrysler store in Powderly.

The dealership, located at 2250 West Everly Brothers Boulevard, has been open for just over two weeks. Owner Mark Pogue told Surfky News that "we're off to a very good start."

The Pogue Autoplex includes three separate showrooms, with inventory from Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and pre-owned vehicles.

Pogue told Surfky News that the dealership will have a contest to verify that it is indeed "the largest dealership in the smallest town in America."

Right now, the lots are packed with almost 800 cars in the town of Powderly, where the official population is "about 749", said Pogue.

Mayor Bobby Creager presented Pogue Autoplex with the Good Citizenship Award during the celebration.

Creager told Surfky News that it is exciting to have the Pogue Autoplex in Powderly, and, "The city has many plans for improvements based on the new tax revenue from the dealership."

D & P Auto Sales will not open until sometime in December, according to Pogue.
