Truck Overturns at Central City Walmart Exit

Walmart truck overturn 2 19 14 7 42 p m 005CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (2/20/14) — Central City Fire Chief Rick King confirmed to SurfKY News that a a tractor trailer carrying frozen food overturned exiting the Central City Walmart parking lot.

"We received the call at approximately 6:17 p.m." King said. "The driver was exiting onto to Old Greenville-Powderly Road and ran up over the curb on one side. The wet ground gave way on one side of the exit, and the truck overturned into a ditch. The accident is being worked by the Central city Fire Department, Central City Police Department, the Muhlenberg county Ambulance Service and the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department." King said.

According to King, there were no injuries. The driver's name and trucking company's
name had not been released as of 7:40 p.m. The truck was not owned by Walmart.
