(3/3/14) — Hopkinsville Police received a 911 call in response to a disturbance occurring at approximately 6:15 p.m. March 1 in the 838 building of Mason Point Apartments on Elm Street.

Upon arrival, police observed an unresponsive adult female lying in the breezeway of the apartment building. The unresponsive female, who was allegedly assaulted by Jamal S. Mounts, 29, of Evansville, Ind., prior to police arrival, was his mother, Roxie C. Mounts, 65, of Hopkinsville.
