Sleeping Man Turned Stoner Arrested for Possession of Marijuana

cadiz police arrest6 300CADIZ, Ky. (3/4/14) — Officers with the Cadiz Police Department were called to Minit Mart in reference to a man asleep behind the wheel of his parked car in the parking lot around 11:05 p.m. Feb. 28.

The vehicle left prior to the officers’ arrival, but was located a short distance later on Main Street.

Officer’s suspected marijuana in the vehicle from the odor emanating from the vehicle.

The subject, Ronald Williams, 21, of Hopkinsville failed two Field Sobriety Tests, and was arrested.

Officers then searched the vehicle and located a small bag of marijuana, a marijuana cigarette, and rolling papers near where the driver operated the vehicle.

Williams was charged with driving under the influence first offense, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
