CADIZ, Ky. (3/4/14) — Jeffery Fletcher, 38, of Elkton and Rachel Parker, 38, of Elkton were stopped at a safety checkpoint on Main Street, when an officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle at 10:50 p.m. March 1.
Fletcher failed four Field Sobriety Tests and was arrested.
Parker was also under the influence of marijuana and/or other drugs.
A search after the arrest yielded a small amount of methamphetamine and a pipe commonly used to smoke drugs within reach of both suspects. A small amount of marijuana and over two dozen prescription pills were also found near both suspects, according to Cadiz Police.
Fletcher was charged with driving under the influence third offense, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and illegal possession a legend drug.
Parker was charged with public intoxication, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled Substance, and illegal possession of a legend drug.
