Single Vehicle Injury Collision in Hopkinsville

Accident Injury 01 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (3/7/14) — The Kentucky State Police investigated a single vehicle, injury collision that occurred on the on ramp from Fort Campbell Boulevard to the Pennyrile Parkway, on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 7:13 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Eric Patterson, 30, of Clarksville, TN, was operating a 2002 GMC Envoy.

He was exiting from Fort Campbell Boulevard onto the Pennyrile Parkway northbound. As he was traveling on the exit ramp, his vehicle struck an icy spot. Mr. Patterson lost control of his vehicle. It exited the roadway and traveled down an embankment. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its passenger side.

Mr. Patterson was transported via ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt. There were no passengers involved.
 
Trooper Jim McArthur investigated the collision.

The Hopkinsville Police Department, the Hopkinsville Fire Department, and Hopkinsville/Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
