(3/11/14) – In celebration of National Youth Art Month, join the Pennyroyal Arts Council annual Youth Art Month exhibit titled, “Young Masters."

The 15 pieces on exhibit were selected by art teachers from each school and include a variety of mediums from pencil drawings and watercolors to collages and photography.

The exhibit will be on display in the Auditorium Art Gallery at Hopkinsville Community College through March 26 with a public reception being held 5 pm Thursday, March 13.

Sponsored by the Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club, the exhibit is held each March in celebration of National Youth Art Month, and will include the work of students from Christian County’s public and private elementary, middle and high schools as well as children who are home schooled.

Each of the talented, young artists will be acknowledged during the March 13 reception and ceremony in the HCC Auditorium Lecture Hall.

This year the certificate presented to each student will be given in memory of Ms. Marion Adams. A longtime supporter of the arts, Adams participated in the annual Youth Art Month event since its inception, providing the artists encouragement and words of wisdom.

The reception is free and open to the public.
