PRINCETON, Ky. (3/12/14) — The Kentucky State Police charged a Hopkinsville man with identity theft at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday.
An investigation began on March 6 after KSP was contacted by the Woodall Agency, Inc. in Princeton.
The agency reported that a subject, identified as Daron D. Bell, 36, of Hopkinsville entered the business and inquired about wealth management services. While there, Bell distracted the receptionist and took paperwork that contained personal information of one of their clients.
Trooper First Class Chris King arrested Bell at his residence on Greenhill Road.
Bell was charged with one count of theft of identity of another without consent, which is a class D felony. At the time of his arrest, Bell had the stolen paperwork in his possession.He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
