Bremen Man Charged with DUI After One-Vehicle Collision

Accident Injury 01 red 300SOUTH CARROLLTON, Ky. (3/29/14) ― A Bremen man was charged with driving under the influence after he lost control of his pickup truck, ran off the road and struck a culvert late Friday night.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Stephen D. Foster, 61, of Bremen was driving a 2005 Ford pickup north on Kentucky 81 at about 11:53 p.m. Friday, March 28 when he ran off the road about one-half mile north of South Carrollton.

The report said Foster was the only occupant in the vehicle and was transported by Muhlenberg EMS to Baptist Health in Madisonville, where he was admitted for his injuries. He was then cited for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, second offense, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

Trooper Jonathan McGehee investigated the collision. The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department and Bremen Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
