lane closures and restrictions 300CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Kentucky. (4/3/14) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane for asphalt paving along sections of Kentucky 117, Kentucky 398, and Kentucky 1027 in Christian County starting Friday, April 4, 2014.

Paving along Kentucky 117/Gracey-Herndon Road runs from near the Davenport Road intersection at mile point 14.646 to near the Kentucky 272 intersection at mile point 15.887.

Paving along Kentucky 398/Bainbridge Road runs from the 1 mile marker to about the 2 mile marker. This section is just to the north of the Kentucky 91 intersection.

Paving along Kentucky 1027/Long Pond Road runs from mile point 4.615 to mile point 5.585. This section is between Kentucky 109 and Kentucky 115.

Motorists who regularly travel these highways during daylight hours should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. Some delays are possible during the movement and positioning of equipment to facilitate the work.

Rogers Group, Inc., is the prime contractor on this $184,672 group paving project. Work on this group project is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting.
