Noir movieScreenshot via Book PeopleMADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/17/14) — Madisonville Community College will feature authors, Scott Phillips and Jedidiah Ayres for an evening of reading and conversation, brought to the public by the Loman C. Trover Library Reading Series.

Phillips, a St. Louis-based writer, is the author of many darkly humorous - and sometimes - risqué novels, including "The Adjustment," "Rut," "The Ice Harvest," as well as his newest book, "Rake."

Jedidiah Ayres will speak on his debut novel, "Peckerwood," a novel about a small-time criminal in small-town America.

Phillips and Ayres are also the co-founders of Noir at the Bar, a live reading series featuring popular voices in noir and crime fiction.

The MCC event will be 7 p.m. Friday, April 25 in the Loman C. Trover Library located on the 2nd floor of the Learning Resource Center on MCC’s North Campus. The event is free to the public and refreshments will be served.

For more information about the authors go to Scott Phillips and Jedidiah Ayres.
