ELKTON, Ky. (4/18/14) — The Todd County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police arrested two Elkton residents on drug related charges at approximately 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Todd County Deputy Tracy White and Kentucky State Police Trooper Curtis Crick went to an address on Allensville Street in Elkton to serve an arrest warrant on Tony McCormick, 40, and Ryan Golden, 32. While serving the warrants, officers smelled a chemical odor consistent with a methamphetamine lab coming from the garage.
While Deputy White was obtaining a search warrant, Trooper Curtis Crick found Bruce Strader, 27, to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. During execution of the search warrant items and chemicals commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine were located, as well as stolen road signs, and two stolen 'Tracy White for Sheriff' campaign signs.
In addition to McCormick's warrant, Deputy Tracy White arrested and charged McCormick with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
Trooper Curtis Crick arrested and charged Strader with possession of a controlled substance first degree second offense methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.In addition to Golden's warrant, Trooper Curtis Crick charged Ryan Golden with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
