Reckless Motorcyclist Speeds, Resists KSP

arrested handcuffs blue 300ELKTON, Ky. (4/21/14) — According to a Kentucky State Police report, KSP Trooper Crick attempted to conduct a traffic stop for a speeding violation on Chase M. Cooper, who was operating a motorcycle on Miller Valley Road, near Elkton, Ky. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Cooper failed to stop and fled on his motorcycle. Trooper Sean Wint assisted as Cooper traveled into Christian County. After several miles, Cooper pulled his vehicle to the shoulder of the road, however, refused to comply with verbal commands given by Trooper Wint.

Cooper was arrested and charged with Speeding 26 mph or more, Reckless Driving, Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (motor vehicle), Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (police officer), Disregarding Traffic Control Device, License Plate Not Legible, Resisting Arrest, Disregarding Stop Sign, Failure To or Improper Signal, Failure to Produce Insurance Card.

Cooper was lodged at the Christian County Detention Center.
