One Injured in Rosewood Wreck

ksp1 logo 300ROSEWOOD, Ky. (4/21/14) — Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, April 20 on Kentucky 973, one mile north of Rosewood.

According to a KSP report, Lisa Poindexter, 52, of Palmyra, Tenn., was driving a 2006 Dodge Dakota north on Kentucky 973, when she failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle crossed the southbound lane and exited the left shoulder of the road. It continued down an embankment and came to rest upright in a field.

Poindexter, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported via Muhlenberg County EMS to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers.

Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the collision. Trooper Craig Engler, and the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
