ORIGNAL:

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (4/30/14) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed Kentucky 1453/Barkers Mill Road near the 5 mile marker in Christian County.

The closure point is along Kentucky 1453/Barkers Mill Road just off Kentucky 115/Oak Grove - Pembroke Road near the Saint Elmo community.

KYTC received a report of an opening in the road that turned out to be a sinkhole. Due to the time and approaching darkness Tuesday evening when the sinkhole was discovered, work is expected to begin Wednesday, April 30.

Until a full evaluation of the sinkhole, Kentucky 1453 will remain closed.
