HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (4/30/14) — Jennie Stuart Medical Center has begun several interior renovation projects designed to enhance the patient and visitor experience.
Several patient rooms on both the fifth and seventh floors will be modernized during this process. The rooms will feature two different designs and after the project is completed, JSMC will seek feedback from patients, visitors and staff. During this project, which will take about 90 days to complete, barriers will block access from the front elevators to the nurses’ stations on the fifth and seventh floors.
Also, the front elevators on the second floor at the main entrance on 18th Street are closed. Visitors may use the back elevators to access the patient floors. Appropriate signage is in place to direct visitors.
Later this spring, the main entrance will close and an alternate entry will be used. At that time, the volunteers will relocate to the Intensive Care Unit waiting area on the second floor.JSMC is a private, not-for-profit health organization that includes an acute-care medical center; free-standing outpatient surgery, medical imaging, laboratory, rehabilitation, occupational health, and home health services; and an integrated physician network.
