UPDATE - Two Arrests Made in Connection with May 7 Shooting

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (5/9/14) — Hopkinsville Police have made one arrest in connection with the shooting that occurred Wednesday, May 7 and another arrest on drug related charges.

One of the shooting victims (see original story below) Darryl Dobson was arrested for 1st Degree Assault and another shooting victim (also in original story listed below) Robert Earl Jackson, was arrested on drug related charges.

This shooting incident remains under investigation by Hopkinsville Police Detectives.

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (5/8/14) — Hopkinsville Police Department are investigating a shooting incident that injured four victims.

According to a Hopkinsville police report, police responded to a shooting in the area of East 2nd Street and South Vine Street, and also the area of East 4th Street and Campbell Street shortly after 6:30 p.m. Wenesday, May 7, 2014.

Police discovered there were four shooting victims that were all taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.

  • Robert Earl Jackson Jr. aka "Meaty Bone", 29, of Hopkinsville, was shot once in the leg and was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
  • Darryl Lee Dobson, 23, of Hopkinsville, was shot once in the leg and was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
  • Teron Renell Mayes, aka "Lil Ron", 30, of Hopkinsville, was shot once in the leg and was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
  • Lakisha Andrea McMillian, 25, of Hopkinsville, was shot once in the hip and was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and then transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Hopkinsville Police Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and this shooting incident remains actively under investigation.

HPD will release more information as it becomes available.
