Investigation into Marijuana Dealer Yields Large Seizure

drug arrest marijuana 02 30CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (6/4/14) — Members of the Hopkinsville Police Department’s Investigations Section, acting upon information received from concerned Hopkinsville Citizens, conducted an investigation into the possible illegal trafficking of narcotics.

The investigation led officers to conduct a narcotics search warrant at a Fairview Drive residence. Arrested in connection with the search warrant were 18 year old Charles F. Stapp and 21 year old Kevin R. Hawkins, both of Hopkinsville.

The investigation led to the seizure of approximately 12 pounds of marijuana and a Dodge Dakota pick-up truck.

Members of the Hopkinsville Police Department Investigations Section were assisted by Hopkinsville Police Department Patrol Officers.
