Operation 'Schools Out'

hop police dept2 300CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (6/18/14) — During this year's last week of public school and the first week of summer break, the Hopkinsville Police Department’s Investigation Bureau concentrated their efforts on street level pro-active policing.

During this two week span, the Investigation Bureau made a total of 28 arrests with 17 of those arrests being for Trafficking in Controlled Substances.

The Bureau served 8 search warrants and seized approximately 13 pounds of marijuana and 6 guns.

They made an arrest in the May 29 burglary of the Christian County Recreation Department.

They also made an arrest on one of the individuals involved in the June 4 armed robbery of the Lafayette Road Kangaroo Express with a second arrest anticipated in the near future.
