paninisOWENSBORO, Ky. (6/22/14) — The lunch options in downtown Owensboro are expanding as Global Spectrum’s Big E Café, located inside the Owensboro Convention Center, extends its hours and changes the menu items.

The new menu will offer a variety of lunch options that will be especially convenient for those working in one of the many businesses located downtown. "We know this will be a great new dining option for those looking for a delicious and quick lunch in downtown Owensboro," said Mark Pruett, the Director of Food & Beverage at Global Spectrum’s Owensboro Convention Center. “This will allow people the option to enjoy their lunch in our beautiful new facility, or take it with them to enjoy down by the Owensboro riverfront.”

The menu will feature many new tasty items including a buffalo chicken wrap, a chicken salad sandwich served on a fluffy croissant, paninis with your choice of chicken, ham or turkey and quesadillas. The lunch menu even offers a delicious garden salad served with locally grown greens for those seeking a healthier option. The menu includes several more options that can be found on the Owensboro Convention Center website. The café’s new hours will help to better serve the lunch crowd by staying open the entire work week.

The café will be serving up their new menu items Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

“By extending the cafe hours, we know our facility will be able to better serve the community by offering another convenient option to those craving a tasty lunch in downtown Owensboro, but have limited time,” said Dean Dennis, Global Spectrum’s General Manager of the Owensboro Convention Center. “People will be able to come in and grab a quick lunch that they can enjoy even when on the go.”

The Owensboro Convention Center will also begin posting chances to win free lunches each month from their Facebook page beginning in July.
