motorcycle accident yellow 300SOUTH CARROLLTON, Ky. (7/17/14) — A Central City woman was injured when she lost control of her motorcycle on U.S. 431 at about 11:17 a.m. Thursday, July 17 near South Carrollton.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Michelle Jewell, 46, was operating a 2003 Honda Shadow motorcycle north on U.S. 431 when she lost control, exited the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a ditch. The motorcycle overturn, which cause Jewell to be ejected.

Jewell was transported by Muhlenberg County EMS to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. She was wearing a helmet and there were no passengers.

Trooper Craig Engler investigated the collision.

Trooper Jerrod Hearld and the Central City Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
