Lydia-AdamsMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (7/29/14) — The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center would like to recognize Lydia Adams, Records Clerk, as the Employee of the Month for June 2014.

Lydia began her employment at the Muhlenberg campus nine years ago, in August of 2005. Adams is receiving this award because she did a phenomenal job with the coordination of the student Summer break departure.

The center must provide transportation home during breaks for all students who live in the Eastern and Southern regions of the United States. Student breaks occur twice a year that entails coordination of airline, bus and personal transportation, payment and tracking for over 350 students.

This is no easy task, but Adams has the process down to a science and becomes more and more efficient as each year passes. Without her oversight and coordination, this process would be extremely cumbersome to organize. Adams’ prompt attention and diligence allowed for students to receive prime travel arrangements solely due to her ability to multi-task and be punctual in her planning. Adams continuously goes out of her way to ensure the organization and performance of the Records Department exceeds the expectations of Horizons Youth Services and U.S. Department of Labor standards.

For all of these reasons and more, the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center is honored to have Mrs. Lydia Adams as part of their team.

She is a true asset to the Center and more than deserving of this recognition.
