Christian County Schools Approve 2013-14 School Calendar

cc board educationHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (3/15/13) – The Christian County Board of Education voted last night, during a scheduled board workshop, to approve the 2013-2014 CCPS school calendar.

A calendar committee was formed in January and consisted of representatives from the following: elementary, middle and high schools, Christian County Board of Education, KEA (Kentucky Education Association)/CCEA (Christian County Education Association), Central Office, students and parents.

In addition, a calendar survey was posted on the Infinite Campus Portal website. Staff members and parents were surveyed from Feb. 25 through March 1. Survey results show that 652 took the posted survey on the website. Results from the survey were compiled and applied to the calendar, which was then presented to the Christian County School Board for approval.

The 2013-2014 calendar shows that students will return to school on August 14, 2013 and that the last day for students will be on May 28, 2014. Holidays, testing windows, breaks and professional development days are reflected on the calendar as well.
