TRAFFIC ALERT – Road Closure on KY 800 in Christian County

road closed orange 300CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (5/7/13) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 800 in northwest Christian County beginning Monday, May 13, 2013.

This closure of KY 800 is to allow base stabilization repairs between KY 1914 at mile point 9.999 and mile point 10.5. Work in this area is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting.

This extensive repair project will require the roadway to be closed to all traffic during daylight hours. Every effort will be made to reopen KY 800 at this site at the end of each working day. However, there may be some phases of the work where overnight closures could be required.

There will be a marked detour via KY 1914 and KY 189.

Timely traffic advisories for the 11 counties of KYTC Highway District 2 are available by going to www.facebook.com/kytcdistrict2. You do not have to be a Facebook member to access this page.
