HPD Announces DUI Checkpoints

 

sobriety checkorange 300HOPKINSVILLE, KY (12/1/11) – The Hopkinsville Police Department (HPD) has announced that they will be conducting DUI checkpoints throughout the month of December.
 
According to HPD officials, the checkpoints will be at various locations and times throughout the city.
 
In a recent press release, HPD officials said that reducing alcohol-related injuries or fatal collisions and providing safety to the community is a priority of the police department.
 
Officials went on to state that, “By having these checkpoints, it’s the Departments’ mission to reduce the number of impaired drivers traveling our streets, educate the public, and to achieve the ultimate goal of making the city a safer place to live and to drive.”
